Activities For Sunnah

Al-Sirat Academy is excited to announce the launch of a new series called “Activities for Sunnah.” This series aims to provide students with the opportunity to engage in various activities that align with the sunnah, or teachings and actions, of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Horseback Riding

The first activity in the series was horseback riding, which aligns with the Prophet’s love of horses and his encouragement for others to ride them. The students were able to learn about proper horsemanship and safety measures before setting off on their ride, and they thoroughly enjoyed the physical and spiritual benefits of this experience.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏‏ الْخَيْلُ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ‏

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “There is always goodness in horses till the Day of Resurrection.”
